Current Openings:

arrow-orange Server Technician

ProsLink is looking for an experienced Server Technician to be part of a locally owned and operated IT outsourcing company in Bloomington Indiana. Primary responsibilities include support of servers and general technical needs. Other responsibilities include maintaining inventory, detailed documenting of work performed, and providing follow-up technical support both on-site and remotely. Good communication skills are essential in this role.

DUTIES:
• On-site support and troubleshooting for Windows, Linux, and VMware servers
• Data recovery and loss prevention
• Virus, spyware/adware, and malware removal
• Server security enhancement
• Hardware repair and upgrades
• Software upgrades and installation
• Server-based application support (MS-Exchange, MS-AD, DNS, DHCP, MS-SQL, Apache, mySQL, IIS)


PREFERRED SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS:
• 2+ years of architecture, design, and troubleshooting experience with Microsoft, Linux, and VMware solutions
• 3+ years experience with Windows-based PCs (Win 9x, Win2K, WinXP, Vista)
• Strong knowledge of PC troubleshooting and repair, both hardware and software
• Proficiency with peer-to-peer and client/server networks
• Knowledge of networking standards and protocols
• Knowledge of network and desktop security
• Willingness to actively market and promote services
• Professional, high-energy, customer-oriented work ethic
• Ability to prioritize workload and excellent time management skills
• Ability to work independently without hands-on direction
• Ability to travel to other sites preferred
• A+, MCP, Network+, MCSE, VCP, certifications preferred

The position requires carrying a smart phone with the ability to send and receive e-mail at anytime. Due to the nature of the role, flexibility in availability is required with the ability to share on call duties. Occasional weekend or after-hours work will be required as business needs dictate. The position is a full time appointment and salary will be based on experience and capability.
